This study is aimed at presenting social needs and satisfactory level on Library and Information Management admission and enrollment at Can Tho University, Vietnam from 2005 to 2018. The study was conducted by quantitative approach and based on secondary data provided by Department of Academic Affairs through 14 years of university entrance exams and admission. Findings reveal that Can Tho University meets 40% of the society's demands in the entrance examination period (2005-1014) and only 30.2% at the admission stage (2015-2018). In the years 2006-2008, provinces such as Ca Mau, Hau Giang, and Vinh Long had a higher rate of successful candidates than that in other provinces in the Mekong Delta region and the number of female candidates is always at a much higher level than male candidates. Findings are necessary for the enrollment of Library and Information Management at Can Tho University and for other universities in terms of input evaluation in general. Implications are also presented with regard to making changes in admission quota.
