Career counseling is an important and indispensable activity in schools to improve students’ understanding of careers and orient them to choose an appropriate career to their age, ability, and family conditions. The 2018 general education Curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training clearly specifies the content of career counseling through experiential activities and extracurricular activities. In order to propose practical measures of career counseling for students at non-public high schools, this study used a questionnaire survey with 135 students to assess the current situation of career counseling activities in non-public high schools in Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city. The results show that most students acknowledged the need for career counseling for 10th graders, but the implementation of career counseling activities for 10th graders at non-public high schools were not sufficient. The research results are the basis for proposing career counseling measures for 10th-grade students in non-public high schools in Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city on a regular basis.
