Bakanae disease caused by Fusarium moniliforme is one of important diseases of rice in the Mekong delta, the disease can cause grain discoloration and seed transmitted that severe affect on quality and grain yield. Studies on pathogenicity of Fusarium moniliforme will provide basic knowledge on this pathogen and find out the sustainabe and effective control method, experiments were carried out in order to observe the symptom caused by 60 Fusarium moniliforme isolates collected at seven provinces of Mekong delta and evaluate its pathogenicity on Jasmine 85 rice cultivar. Data were collected at 5 and 10 days after inoculation based on disease incidence, percent of high plants, percent of dead plants or stunting, yellowing plants and percent of plant with fungal covering. Result showed that symptom caused by the athogen was different, almost isolates caused high plant and fungal covering symptoms. The isolates collected at Tien Giang, An Giang, Can Tho and Hau Giang had percent of high plant from 86 to 98%. The isolates collected at Dong Thap and Soc Trang had percent of fungal covering higher than other symptoms. Besides, esults also showed that isolates collected at An Giang, Hau Giang, Dong Thap, Tien Giang and Soc trang had high pathogenicity on Jasmine 85, whereas isolates collected at Vinh Long had low pathogenicity.
