Asian society with countless beauty standards has become the curb on many individuals’ confidence, BB Cream starts to intervene into both skincare and makeup routine by the ability to cover imperfections and give users a sense of fulfilment. Nevertheless, perceived shortcomings from conventional technologies such as O/W emulsions or W/O emulsions require cosmetic chemists to optimize the function and texture of BB Cream. W/Si emulsions, developed thanks to a new silicone emulsifier classified as a member of Alkyl Dimethicone Copolyol group, is the driving force of our invention of a W/Si BB Cream. This emulsion is anticipated to not only address the problems of conventional emulsions but also offer additional benefits. The method of making W/Si BB Cream is a cold process, thus simple and cost-efficient. The final product appeared to be stable over time, indicated by viscosity measurement. Moreover, the report also conducted a sensory evaluation to compare our BB Cream to another commercial product, which yields positive results, especially postapplication feeling.
