An Giang province is recognized as the largest granary in the country and its economy is associated with the development of agricultural production. Understanding the importance and contribution of FDI capital to the socio-economic development of the province, An Giang has recently implemented policies to get more foreign investment and enhanced the competitive capacity to further call FDI flows. This paper aims to analyze the importance and contribution of FDI to the economic growth of the province, which clarifies the using of FDI capital that has been implemented in some recent years. Secondary data was collected from An Giang Department of Planning and Investment from 2015 to 2017. The main finding of this research reveals that FDI has significantly contributed to the economic growth and improved the local inhabitants’ lives. Some managerial implications would be proposed in the last part of this paper.
