Recently, there has been increasing attention on environmental conservation in tourists’ community. Tourists tend to highly evaluate and, hence, book to stay on green hotels during their trips. However, an important question arises: does this behavior vary by tourists' country of origin? To address this question, this study was conducted to explore and compare the green hotel booking behavior among tourists of different nationalities. The study focuses on two groups of tourists: domestic tourists (Vietnamese) and international tourists, with a total of 300 participants surveyed using structured questionnaires. The study utilizes various analytical methods, including Cronbach's Alpha, convergence tests, and descriptive statistics. The findings indicate significant differences in green hotel booking behavior between the two groups. Notably, domestic tourists prefer direct booking at the reception desk or via receptionists (through phone or social media), whereas international tourists prioritize online travel agencies. Moreover, international tourists have a 1.57 times longer length of stay and are willing to pay 1.31 times more per night for a room, compared to domestic visitors. These results suggest the need for accommodation managers to tailor their attraction and marketing strategies to different nationality groups.
