Research proficiency and information management skills are deemed indispensable in the contemporary information society, where the ubiquity of information necessitates adept handling. However, UNESCO reports a notable deficiency of these crucial skills among students worldwide. Given the nature of the information and library discipline, students in this field necessitate advanced information management proficiencies for favorable employment prospects. While university curricula effectively impart essential skills, linguistic barriers, particularly in English, often impede proficiency in managing English-language information. Consequently, a solution is imperative to assist information and library students in effectively managing English resources. This paper presents a case study wherein information literacy is integrated into a research course to augment students' information management skills. A mixed-method approach was employed to evaluate both the academic performance and attitudes of students following the intervention. Positive outcomes in both academic scores and attitudes signify the viability of the proposed solution and warrant further investigation.
