Self-study activity is one of the main activities of students at universities.  For students' self-study activities to be highly effective, universities need to find out measures to manage this activity. The article proposes measures to manage students' self-study activities at Can Tho University including: Developing a plan to manage students' self-study activities at Can Tho University; Organizing training, and fostering the lecturer's training method in the active learning focusing on learners - self-study teaching method; Organize instruction for students in scientific and more effective self-study methods; checking and evaluating activity management students' self-study regularly. Surveying 52 administrators and 45 lectures at Can Tho University by questionnaire, the results showed that these measures are necessary and feasible to apply to the management of self-study activities of students at Can Tho University.
