This paper reports on a comprehensive study on the performance of medium strength concrete with steel fiber (SF) addition. Properties studied include compressive strength, flexural strength, splitting tensile strength, drying shrinkage, and sulfate attack of hardened medium strength concrete. Steel fiber contents of 0.25%, 0.5%, 1.0%, and 1.5% by stone volume were used. The experimental results showed that the addition of SF improved compressive strength, flexural strength, and splitting tensile strength of medium strength concrete. Moreover, the more the SF contents used in the concrete mixture, the more the reduction in drying shrinkage was. For durability properties, increasing the amount of SF in the medium strength concrete, the water resistance of the concrete increased. Further, the weight loss due to sulfate attack of medium strength SF reinforced concrete decreased with an increase in SF addition.
