Effect of storage time, turning times of eggs on hatchability of Guinea fowl eggs by small incubator
A study was done at the Experimental farm in Long Hoa commune, Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city in which 5400 Guinea fowl eggs were incubated by a small size multi-stage incubator. It was 2 *3 factorial design, the first factor being storage time (3 and 4 days) and the second one being turning times of egg (4, 6 and 8 times per day night). The objective of study was to determine incubation method (temperature and humidity in incubator) and evaluate the effect of storage time and turning times of the egg on fertile egg ratio, hatchability of Guinea fowl eggs. The results showed that three- day stored eggs and 6 times of turning eggs gave higher alive fertile egg ratio, lower embryo mortality and higher hatched chick ratio (P
