In 2018, Vietnam changed the general education curriculum, in which subjects are integrated together into one subject such as History and Geography at the lower secondary school level. Stemming from that fact, the need to train teachers in Pedagogy Geography is very urgent, requiring large universitles in Vietnam to develop a plan to open a training major, including Can Tho University in Mekong Delta.
