Can Tho City, a vibrant city located in the heart of the Mekong Delta, has great potential to develop a prosperous night economy. The unique combination of cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and its strategic geographical location makes this place an attractive destination for both domestic and international tourists. Among its many attractions, Ninh Kieu Quay stands out as an ideal location to develop a vibrant nightlife atmosphere. With its beautiful riverside scenery and vibrant atmosphere, this area can become a highlight for various nighttime activities, from traditional markets and street food stalls to cultural performances and entertainment venues. However, the rapid development of this nighttime economy comes with significant challenges. It is important to achieve a balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability to ensure that the benefits of tourism do not come at the cost of the city's natural beauty and ecological health. The success of the night economy in Can Tho will largely depend on the city's ability to integrate these two important aspects, allowing a robust tourism industry to thrive while still respecting and preserving its environment. This study aims to explore the complex relationship between environmental quality and the development of the night-time economy, with a particular focus on Ninh Kieu Quay. By examining factors such as air quality, noise pollution, and lighting conditions, the study will assess how these factors affect the overall experience of both tourists and local residents. Additionally, the research will explore other socio-economic factors affecting the nighttime economy, including infrastructure development, the diversity of available products and services, the quality of the workforce, and public safety measures.Above all, the research proposes sustainable solutions that can guide the development of the nighttime economy in Can Tho. This model should prioritize economic growth while simultaneously supporting environmental protection and enhancing social welfare. By achieving a balance between these three essential pillars - economic feasibility, environmental sustainability, and social equity - Can Tho City can become a unique and attractive nighttime tourist destination. Such development not only enriches the experiences of tourists but also brings long-term benefits to local residents, creating a vibrant community that thrives both culturally and economically.
