Discoloration of rice grains is one of the most important diseases at all rice-growing areas of Viet Nam. Curvularia sp. and Fusarium sp. are popular fungal pathogens on rice grains. The research on efficacy of extracts from Eupatorium leaf, Cyperus rhizome and Ageratum leaf at concentrations of 2, 4 and 8% on mycelial growth of Fusarium sp. VL05 and Curvularia sp. VL17 showed that treatments of both Cyperus rhizome and Ageratum leaf at a concentration of 8% had high inhibitory effect on mycelial growth of Fusarium sp. at 9.81-12.53% at 72 hours after putting fungal slices (HAPFS). Besides, the inhibitory efficacy of Cyperus and Ageratum extracts at 8% were approximately 11.84-23.86% at 72 HAFPS.
