The paper examines the number of banking relationships impact to business performance by using systematic sampling random method and surveying of 225 enterprises in the Can Tho city. The descriptive statistics, Cronbach’s Alpha analysis, factor analysis and multivariate regression methods are used in this study. The results showed that there are eight factors affecting the business performance. They are number of banking relationships, net revenue, equity, debt/equity, and type of business, age of business, debt/total assets and business owners’ education degree. In particular, the number of banking relationship has a positive impact on the business performance. Among the business groups had differently numerical banking relationships; the business owner’s view of the relationship with the bank as well as business characteristics was different. Finally, the paper contributes and enriches the literature about banking relationship and gives some further researches.
