This study was conducted to isolate and select the Lactobacillus sp. strains having good potential to produce probiotics using in aquaculture. The aim of this topis was isolation and selection Lactobacillus sp. has potential probiotic from Penaeus monodon in pond culture was investigated. The avchive results as followed: 19 Lactobacillus sp. strains were isolated from gastrointestinal of Penaeus monodon in Ca Mau, Vietnam. As a result 5 strains potential probiotic Lactobacillus sp. were selected, among them the R3CI strain could tolerance different best with temperature, pH, salt concentration, antibiotic resistance and produced bacteriocin which inhibited growth Edwarsiella ictaluri. The identification by sequencing of 16S ribosomal RNA gene revealed that, strain R3CI has 95% identity to Lactobacillus plantarum KM MSU.
