Study on using copepods to replace Artemia in rearing white leg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) larvae was implemented with the aim to assess the growth and survival of the shrimp larvae. The experiment was designed with 5 treatments in which Artemia were replaced by copepods at different ratios in the feeding regimes including 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% in comparison with the control that 100% Artemia was used as common. The initial larvae density was 200 inds. L-1 stocked in 20L bucket system with salinity of 30‰. The results showed that growth and survival of shrimp larvae at PL 10 were higher in treatments of 25%, 50% copepods and 100% Artemia with 11.22%. d-1, 11,26%. d-1, 11,13%. d-1, and 40.44%, 40.55%, 41.04%, respectively. However, in the treatments with higher percentage of copepods (100% and 75%) growth and survival of shrimp larvae was significantly lower (10.60%. d-1, 10.22%. d-1 and 28.51%, 31.06%, respectively). In conclusion, copepods can be used to replace up to 50% of Artemia in rearing while leg shrimp larvae.
