Pedagogical observation is a compulsory module of the specialized knowledge block in the teacher training program of Can Tho University. Accordingly, third-year students are required to go to high school to observe, learn and participate in educational activities in the school to accumulate knowledge and professional experience. This article presents the research results on the feedback of students majoring in Mathematical Pedagogy on the impact of these observational activities on their career skills after becoming an apprentice. The survey results showed that the observational pedagogical activities positively impacted students' career skills and, at the same time, reflected the difficulties they encountered in the classroom-training process. From the results of this survey, the article recommends some solutions regarding the organization of the observational pedagogical tasks to promote students’ professional development.
