Developing students’ problem solving and creativity capacity is one of the urgent requirements of general education. The development of this capacity in teaching chemistry can be done in many different ways. The building and using of test questions according to the goal of developing problem solving and creativity capacity is considered an effective measure. The survey on teaching chemistry in high schools shows that teachers still limit the use of chemistry exercises in the test according to the goal of developing students’ capacity to explore, research and apply acquired knowledge to solve problems. Thereby, the test in this form will has been developing problem solving capacity. This article deals with the problem of building and using test questions according to the goal of developing problem solving and creativity capacity for students in teaching chemistry in high schools.
