The objective of this research was to screen actinomycetes able to control Bacterial foot rot disease on rice caused by Dickeya sp.. Examination antagonistic ability of 14 actinomycetes isolates in controlling Dickeya sp. with 5 replications in laboratory condition. The results found that 3 isolates LV.ĐT24 và ĐT3.4 and VL5.4 have high antagonistic ability with the radius of inhibition zones reaches 6.16 mm; 5.86 mm and 5.50 mm, respectively at 7 days after inoculation. The biocontrol ability of 3 actinomycete isolates (LV.ĐT24 và ĐT3.4 and VL5.4) was tested with 5 replications in the nethouse condition. The results indicated that 3 isolates testing could control the disease. Among these, LV.ĐT24 which were applied twice (2 days before and 2 days after pathogen inoculation) gave the highest antagonistic capacity through low disease incidence (9.32%) and high efficiency of disease reduction (83.80%).
