The article presents the concept of self-study plan, self-study plan skills, measures for developing self-study plan skills. The data of the study were collected from 506 students at Can Tho University, the result showed that: the mean score of students' self-study plan skills is 3.43. Three measures for developing self-study plan skills for students at Can Tho University are proposed including: Designing and organizing the  self-study plan skills training topics, intergrating self-study plan skills into teaching the subjects, intergrating self-study plan skills into consultant activities.
