In this paper, the asymptotic distribution for the ratio of the sample kurtoses of two independent datasets is derived. It is then applied to construct the confidence interval and also the hypothesis test for the ratio of the kurtoses of two independent populations. The ability of the introduced technique is studied through a simulation study. The results verify that the values of coverage probability are very close to the considered size, especially when the sample sizes grow. The applicability of proposed method is also investigated using a medical dataset.
