The study was carried out to 1) Find out community’s awareness about the transfer of the structure of important land use (field, orchard, and aquaculture land) in the last few years and predict how the structure of essential land use will be transferred; 2) Coastal community’s assessment about the reasons of mangrove cultivation change over the last few years and forecast possible influences in the future. Field research and interview methods were used in this study. Results of this study showed that the structure of land use mainly transfers between farmland and aquaculture cultivation. Over the last few years and the near future, the transfer of land use’s structure will be influenced by farming conditions, prices, science and technology application, government’s policies. Besides, the reasons that cause mangrove cultivation change were systematized into two leading groups: human activities and natural processes. The consequences of losing mangroves are also surveyed. Results show that the community pays most attention to the salinization of field land, alluvial deposits, shrimp farming ponds, rivers, and canals.
