The participation of local people plays a decisive role in the successful and sustainable development of the tourism industry. Ca Mau Peninsula has many advantages to develop the tourism industry but the participation of local people is still modest. This study was conducted to analyze factors affecting people's participation in tourism development. Questionnaires were used to collect primary information. The research sample included 299 local people. Chi-square test method was used to analyze data. Analysis results show that social, family and personal factors impact people's participation in tourism development. Research to supplement theory and practice on people's participation in tourism development. Furthermore, a number of recommendations are proposed to improve people's participation in tourism development.
