Consumer demands and behavior have drastically changed since the COVID-19 outbreak started. Instead of expanding and focusing more on spending that can be done at home, consumers are decreasing their use of outside purchasing activities such as supermarkets, stores, or traditional marketplaces, internet food purchases have significantly increased. This paper aims to describe the status quo of online food purchase in Can Tho City, Vietnam. Primary data collected from online surveying 200 customers in Can Tho City was used in this study. Descriptive statistics was used in this research to analyse data. The results show that majority of respondents prefer to buy food online over offline. Specifically, the foods with the highest number of choices when buying online are vegetables. People with marital status belonging to the group of married and have children tend to buy more food online than others. Young people tend to buy food online more than older people. Three main reasons for customers to purchase food online are food quality, relative cheap price and convenience
