One of the most important issues of the exported fruit is the process of cultivation, harvest and post-harvest. This article presents the computer vision algorithm to locate pineapple eyes and build the cut cure throughout the pineapple eyes to support the automatic cutting systems. The algorithm is implemented and embedded on Raspberry Pi 3 module combines with OpenCV library. First, the pineapple was detected and removed from the technical background based on image segmentation and the border of the object. Next, the determined coordinate pineapple eyes, gathered into groups to define predetermined cut line using Cubic spline curves to automatically pick out pineapple eyes. Experimental results show that the system can recognize, identify cuts correctly and send information to the actuator to conduct subsequent processing steps.
