The research was carried out from August to December 2014 in Nam Can and Ngoc Hien districts, Ca Mau province to indentify the productivity and cost-benefit of eco-certified/and non-eco-certified shrimp-mangrove systems. Primary data information was collected by interviewing 60 shrimp farmers. The study results showed that the stocking density of non-eco-certified shrimp-mangrove system was 18.6 ind./m2/year lower than that of eco-certified shrimp-mangrove system (22.6 ind./m2/year); The yield of black tiger shrimp in eco-certified shrimp mangrove system was 218.0 kg/ha/year; and the yield of non-eco certified shrimp-mangrove system was 192.2 kg/ha/year. The profit of eco-certified shrimp-mangrove system was VND69.1 million/ha/year and that of non-eco certified shrimp-mangrove system was VND56.2 million/ha/year. Ratio of net return/total cost of eco-certified shrimp-mangrove system was 2.90 meanwhile that of non-eco certified shrimp-mangrove system was 2.69. The difficulties of both systems are lack of capital and technique, poor seed quality, shrimp disease and low shrimp yield.
