Seventy-two Californian rabbitsat 42 days of age (445±21.3g) were arranged in a 3x2 factorial design with four rabbits (balanced sex) in an experimental unit. The first factor was lysine levels (%DM) (0.85, 0.95 and 1.05%) and the second factor was threonine levels in the diets (%DM) (0.65 and 0.75%). Three replications were applied for all treatments in the study. The dietary crude protein, metabolizable energy and methionine were formulated at the level of 19.0%, 11.6MJ/kgDM and 0.67% in the different treatments, respectively. Feed ingredients were used in fresh form for feeding rabbits. Nutrient digestibility and nitrogen retention was measured when the rabbits being at 12 weeks of age. The experiment lasted 12 weeks. The results showed that nutrient intakes were not different (P>0.05) among lysine level treatments and between threonine level treatments. The daily weight gain of 0.95-Lys and 0.75-Thr treatments (22.4 and 22.2 g/day, respectively) were significantly higher
