Simulation using computer software has been a new method of teaching probability in high schools. In this article, the authors introduce three probability problems which can be simulated using Excel software. Misconceptions of students when solving these problems are also analysed. Every problem has been simulated with different sample sizes so that students can visualize the way that relative frequencies of an event tend to the probability of the event.
