Any compound that has sulfonamide moiety (SO2NH2) in a compound structure is referred to as sulfonamide. They comprise substantial class of pharmaceutical drugs, containing various kinds of pharmacological agents having antitumor, antibacterial, diuretic, hypoglycemic, and protease inhibitory activity. In this study, to put forward a facile method for the synthesis of sulfonamide forms though Sandmeyer reaction. Five compounds were successfully synthesized through a simple process including 3 steps with the highest yield being 12.26% and the lowest being 7.12% in total.
