The process of land use changes in Vietnamese Mekong delta does not take place as planned by authorities due to local environmental changes and individual farmers' choices (e.g. choice of the more efficient land use pattern from an economic point of view). This introduces a big challenge for land use planners to ensure food security and stable life for people. This research aims at developing a decision-support tool for planners based on an agent-based model of the land use dynamic at the parcel scale. The study focuses on Binh Thanh village of Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province because this area located in the coastal part of the Delta mixes fresh and salt. The model is developed on the GAMA platform, using the model data from land use map in 2005 and price average of main agricultural products over 5 years from 2005. The model has been automatically calibrated using agricultural land use patterns in 2010.  The model shows very promising results: the maximum deviation of the model compared to the real map is 4.9% for Annual crops land plots and 1.3% for Rice cultivation land plots.
