Abstract: Efficacy of the biological preparations with B. amyloliquefaciens on bacterial wilt disease and growth promotion in red pepper.
Study was carried out from 08/2013 to 01/2014, in the net house of Plant protection Department, College of Agriculture and Applied Biology, Can Tho University. Results showed that biological preparations with different percentages of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens endospores, after 3 months of storage, were capable of controlling bacterial wilt of pepper caused by Ralstonia solanacearum. Bacillus populations sustained after being added into the soil, among which, preparation with 100% of endospores maintained up to 15.52 x 105 cfu/ g soil at 14 days after inoculation, higher than other preparations. All B. amyloliquefaciens preparations able to stimulate pepper plant growth, through increasing plant height, stem and roots weight and fruit yield. Preparation comprising 100% endospores showed better effective than the others in biocontrol of disease and stimulation of plant growth.
