The Ottoman Empire is one of the empires with many great achievements in world history. Therefore, research and teaching on the Ottoman Empire received attention from all over the world and increasingly attracted the attention of scholars from many countries including Vietnam. Vietnam is currently promoting research on world history, geography, culture in many parts of the world... including research on the Ottoman Empire. However, because of the geographical distance and differences in culture, politics and history, research and teaching about the Ottoman Empire in Vietnam is still limited. Currently, in universities, there have been changes in research, gradually interested in research and teaching about the Ottoman Empire.
The article mainly uses the research method to survey the training program and practice of training majors in the social sciences and humanities in Vietnam and interview experts from major universities in Vietnam about teaching and research on the Ottoman Empire in Vietnam.
The article aims to clarify the interest in the Ottoman Empire in research and teaching in Vietnam. Since then, there are proposals to further improve understanding of the Ottoman Empire in Vietnam and contribute to strengthening the friendly diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Turkey.
