This study aimed at testing for the disease-reducing effects against cucumber anthracnose (Colletotrichum lagenarium) of the two antagonistic Bacillus sp. strains STI2 và STIII1 under net house conditions. Two application methods were tested including soil drenching and foliar spraying using 108, 106 and 104 cells/mL bacterial suspensions. The soil drenching application was done at one day before sowing, one day after sowing and the combination of these two application time points. The foliar spraying application was done at one day before pathogen inoculation, one day after inoculation and their combination. Both bacterial strains showed significant effects compared to that of the non-treated control where 108 cells/mL suspensions showed better effects among the suspensions tested. The combination of soil drenching applications at one day before and after sowing showed the highest effects among those tested.
