The current study aims at exploring the compressive strength and abrasion resistance capability for the polymer resin modified concrete with silica fume. During the experimental program, the concrete mixtures were designed with the fixed values of water-to-binder ratio at 0.4, volume of aggregate at 62%, percentage of sand at 40% volume of aggregate, and amount of polypropylene fiber at 0.2 % volume of concrete. Experimental variables included the silica fume amount varied at 0 %, 5% and 10% of powder volume, and the amount of pure acrylic polymer resin varied at 0%, 5% and 10% weight of powder. The experimental results of study shows that the compressive strength of concrete decreased by 22.4 %~34.2 % with the increase of the polymer content. The weight reduction of the polymer modified concrete induced by abrasion attack reduced 6.78%~21 % and 14.68%~25.82% in dry and wet environments, respectively.
