Agriculture plays a vital role in the existence of both humans and animals on Earth. Agricultural products create economic value and wealth for local communities and the whole country in general. Thu Dau Mot city in Binh Duong province (Vietnam) is the political, economic and cultural center of the province. Agricultural production activities in Thu Dau Mot city include 3 main kinds of cultivation, livestock, and aquaculture with lots of production models for each kind of them. The objective of this study is to survey and evaluate the economic efficiency of existing agricultural production models in Thu Dau Mot city. The implementation methods include secondary data analysis, field survey, face to face interviews with 200 farmers and statistical analysis by using Microsoft Excel software. The research results have synthesized 26 different production models and found 12 models having both capital efficiency and labor efficiency in compared to the control model of rice cultication with a statistical significance of 95%. Besides economic efficiency, the city’s agricultural production also creates so many jobs for local workers, creates spaces for recreation and entertainment, and protects the landscape and ecological environment. These findings have practical value in land use planning and agricultural economic developing of the province. These models may become typical ones for application in other urban areas in Vietnam
