This study analysed the effects of job stress on job performance, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. Our study is based on surveying 414 employees working at commercial banks in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. Some methods were used in this study such as the descriptive analysis, Cronbach's Alpha test, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, and Structural Equation Modelling methods. It was showed that the highest stress belongs to administrative positions, next was bank specialists and tellers. Eight factors caused job stress including: work pressure, time pressure, role conflict, supervisor pressure, co-worker relationship, working condition, income pressure, and job security. The results also showed the negative relationship between job stress effect on job performance, job satisfaction and turnover intention. However, job performance had a positive effect on turnover intention, while job satisfaction had a negative effect on turnover intention. The paper contributes literature about job stress and it is important to shed new lights on the role of job stress among determinants effects on job performance, job satisfaction and turnover intention. Finally, the paper gives some recommendations for the bank managers in order to understand and manage effectively the relationship between job stress and job performance, job satisfaction and turnover intention.
