Modern teaching methods that prioritize competency development and enhance experiential learning practices have demonstrated significant effectiveness in Mathematics education. The 2018 General Education Mathematics Curriculum emphasizes the integration of software and technological tools in instruction, with GeoGebra - an open-source dynamic mathematics software - being widely adopted. This study compares the efficacy of experiential teaching supported by GeoGebra with traditional teaching methods. A quasi-experimental research design was employed, involving 84 5th-grade students from Ngo Quyen Primary School in Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City. The experimental group participated in an experiential teaching process using GeoGebra, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. The results revealed that the experimental group achieved notably higher average scores following the intervention and demonstrated better knowledge retention two weeks post-intervention compared to the control group. With the aid of GeoGebra, the students engaged actively in the learning process, proactively discovering and constructing new knowledge.
