This paper presents strength and strength development of soil cement samples mixed from different types of cement which are popular used in construction in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. The research studies strength in terms of unconfined compressive strength of the soil cement mixtures which was created at various ratios of cement. The strength was determined by the unconfined compressive tests of the samples at 4, 28, 56 days in the laboratory. Consequently, a ratio is selected based on the obtained compressive strength to investigate strength development for different types of cement. Three types of commercial cement of Tay Do, Ha Tien, and Insee cement are used in the experiment. Consequently, strength of the samples using Insee cement is highest compared to those of using the other two cement types at the sample cement content. The result reveals that the compressive strength is 997kPa for the case using Insee cement while they are 609kPa and 675kPa for the cases of using Ha Tien and Tay Do cement, respectively
