In the mathematics curriculum grade 11, the teaching of the concept of probability gives an important place to a « classical » approach based on the formula of Laplace. Therefore, many students make mistakes when learning this concept. Using modeling teaching connected with simulation by Excel and R softwares can help students understand the real meaning of the concept of probability through the frequentist approach. Moreover, approaching with statistical softwares such as Excel and R will help students know how to use IT to solve real-world problems. This article aims to suggest an innovation to improve the teaching of probability in the mathematics curriculum grade 11.
