The study analyzes the relationship between attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and socio-economic development of Can Tho city. The research analyses foreign direct investment in Can Tho city and the relationship between FDI and economic growth. The data that was collected from Statistical Yearbook from 2015 to 2021 combines with descriptive statistics and scatter plots. Research results show that there is a positive and positive relationship between foreign direct investment and the socio-economic development of Can Tho city. The study gives some implications to help Can Tho city strengthen and effectively use foreign capital for socio-economic development, contributing to making Can Tho into a
central place in Mekong Delta region.
