Climate change remains a critical global challenge, impacting the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of every nation. In 2018, Vietnam ranked 6th in vulnerability to climate change, highlighting the urgent need for proactive measures. This study aims to raise environmental awareness among young people and motivate them to engage in sustainable actions. Specifically, it provides insights for education leaders and youth organizations by identifying current trends and preferred formats of “green activities” among university students. Furthermore, the study examines how students' participation in these activities correlates with their academic majors and year of study. Findings reveal a relatively high level of engagement in “green activities,” although participation varies significantly across disciplines. Based on these results, the researchers propose nine types of “green activities” as practical references for designing impactful extracurricular programs.
