In this paper, we propose developing a system for optimally watering Cucumis Melo L. crops based on an application of Internet of Things (IoT). This work aimed to design and developed a control system using a V-box in the greenhouse with data management via smartphone and a web application. However, the user can manually control watering the crops in the functional control mode. The system can send notifications through a smartphone or PC. The results showed the implementation to be useful in agriculture. The moisture content of the soil was maintained appropriately for cucumis melo L. growth, reducing costs and increasing agricultural productivity. The high-tech cucumis melon L. growing system can help save 90% of water use and 75% of nutrients compared to traditional models. It is possible to cultivate many crops per year with high productivity and is less dependent on environmental conditions. Moreover, this work represents driving agriculture through digital innovation.
