The Mekong Delta is known as Vietnam's rice bowl; rice production accounts for 50% of total output, while seafood production accounts for 70% of total output. The region is critical to the country's socioeconomic development, particularly in the agriculture sector. Aside from opportunities and advantages, the region faces numerous difficulties and challenges; development is inadequate in comparison to its inherent potential and advantages. The purpose of this article is to assess the region's agricultural economic situation in order to propose development solutions.
