Studies on removal of Cu 2+ from dyeing wastewater treatment are conducted by using Biogum improved – a biocoagulant synthesized from oxide nanocomposite (CoFe 2 O) and biological material obtained from Cassia fistula seeds. At the same pH and optimum conditions, Biogum improved has a higher efficient removal of Cu 2+ ( 97.17%) than PAC (68.93%). In addition, biogum improved can be recovered and reused in wastewater treatment. The second and the third times to reuse biogum improved to remove Cu 2+ in wastewater treatment can achieve 81.72% and 76.37%. Results from this study may open new approaches in using biogum improve to remove heavy metals in wastewater treatment that can be reusable, recoverable and environmentally friendly.
