Academic advisors play a particularly important role in supporting students' academic and training success at university. This article explores the actual situation of implementing consulting content of academic advisors at the Faculty of Education - Can Tho University. By the method of theoretical research and the method of collecting information by questionnaire, this study surveyed 414 students of the Faculty of Pedagogy using Google Forms and data processing by Excel and SPSS software. The results showed that students rated the actual implementation of the counseling contents of the academic advisor at a fairly high level in all contents. Which, the content of the academic advisor's counseling support is rated as "learning support" by the students at the highest level; The next step is to implement the content of consulting "student's aspirations" and implementing consulting content "life skills" and the lowest implementation content is consulting "policy regime" Through the research results, it was found that the content of student support counseling was well done. The school needs to have policies to reward and support the academic advisors who have performed their duties well to create motivation to further improve the results of the implementation of the academic advisors' content. This study proposes to propose measures to clearly define the powers and responsibilities of academic advisors.
