Political education for students is considered as one of the key elements in achieving the goal of comprehensive education on the caliber and capacity of learners. However, with mass communication's expanding influence on all aspects of social life, political education for students now faces both new opportunities and challenges. The study makes use of semi-structured questionnaires and qualitative in-depth interviews with stakeholders in political education for students at a public higher education institution in the Mekong Delta. Four key effects of mass media on students' political education in the contemporary day are made clearly by research findings. As a result, the process of training human resources high-quality force to fulfill the country's development needs may use this data as a practical foundation for making policies, adjusting the content, and modifying the methods of political education.
