Cassava leaf spot is a common disease in cassava growing areas. The disease is associated with many fungal species. In the past, disease control studies have often focused on fungicides. This study aimed to evaluate (1) formulations of nanoparticlebased elicitors to reduce cassava leaf spot and also enhance plant growth; (2) the composability of nanoparticle formulations with insecticides. The results indicated that disease severity of nanoparticle formulations treatment was significantly lower than water treatment. Moreover, the N1 (chitosan NP loaded salicylic acid) and N5 (chitosan NP loaded silver) at 400 ppm were highest disease reduction at 62.2 and 70.6%, respectively, which also higher than commercial nano (55.7%). In addition, nanoparticle formulations could increase shoot height and the number of leaves at 62.7-78.4% and 33.3-68.6%, respectively. On the other hand, both N1 and N5 have the ability to combine with insecticides including imidacloprid, fipronil, avermectin, chlorpyrifos + cypermethrin, dimethoate. These results indicated nanoparticle formulations as a promising solution in disease management, as well as productivity enhancement in cassava production.
