The research was carried out in Laboratory of Plant Disease, College of Agriculture, Can Tho University to screen actinomycetes isolates able to control soft rot disease on Ginger caused by Erwinia sp. Examination antagonistic ability of 30 actinomycetes isolates in controlling Erwinia sp. at laboratory condition with 5 replications. The results found that 4 actinomycetes isolates, UMT 128, UMT 82, UMT 16 and UMT 14 have high antagonistic ability with the radius of inhibition zones reaches 26.8 mm và 26.6 mm; 26.0 mm and 22.6 mm, respectively at 7 days after inoculation. The protease activity assay of 4 actinomycetes isolates (UMT 128, UMT 82, UMT 16 và UMT 14) was tested at laboratory condition with 5 replications. The results found that 2 isolates, UMT 128 and UMT 82 have expressed the highest proteinolytic activity with the protein lyses halo radius of 18.7 mm and 17.7 mm respectively at 7 days after testing. Beside, the lipase activity assay of these actinomycetes isolates was also checked at laboratory condition with 5 replications. The results indicated that 2 isolates, UMT 128 and UMT 82 have expressed the highest lipidolytic activity with the lipid lyses halo radius of 26.0 mm và 26.1 mm respectively at 7 days after testing.
