This study was conducted to assess the Livelihood Vulnerability Index (LVI-IPCC) with a survey sample of 281 households in Tri Ton, An Phu, Duyen Hai, Tra Cu, and Phung Hiep districts. There are 7 major factors in the LVI method affecting the livelihood vulnerability of the local population, including the demographic profile, livelihood strategy, social network, health, food, water status, natural disasters and climate change; in which, each major factor include several sub-indicators. The LVI-IPCC method is developed with three main factors: exposure, adaptive capacity, and sensitivity. Research results showed that the LVI Livelihood Vulnerability Index in these districts was at an average level (LVITri Ton: 0.291; LVIDuyen Hai: 0.262; LVITra Cu: 0.262; LVIAn Phu: 0.256; and LVIPhung Hiep: 0.236). According to the LVI-IPCC method, An Phu district was more vulnerable than Tri Ton district and others (LVI-IPCC An Phu: -0.03; LVI-IPCCTri Ton: -0.038; LVI- IPCCPhung Hiep: -0.056; LVI-IPCCTra Cu: -0.081; LVI-IPCCDuyen Hai: -0.084); exposure and sensitivity in An Phu district were higher than in others.
