Streptomycesalbaduncus was shown capable of reducing the Fusarium basal rot of shallot (Alliumcepa var. ascalonicum) caused by Fusariumoxysporum. This study aims at selecting carrier materials for its long-term storage. Five difference formulations were prepared using five carrier materials, i.e., rice bran, talc, peat, rice husk and sawdust. S. albadulcus could maintain its density at 109 spores/g formulation and biological activities in rice bran, talc and peat after nine months of storage. The disease-reducing effects of S. albaduncus were maintained under greenhouse conditions after the storage duration. Rice bran was the best carrier among those tested, which could be used in further formulation studies.
